Description

The Children’s Book Project is a grassroots charity powered by volunteers at every stage of what we do. From our Book HQ in West London, we’re on a mission to gift over a million books to children across the country — helping to spark a lifelong love of reading. We’d love you to join us as a Volunteer Delivery Driver, playing a vital part in getting those books to the schools and children who will treasure them. In this role, you’ll be out on the road delivering boxes of books to local schools and collecting donations from our book hubs and generous partners such as publishers. You’ll be the friendly face of the charity, meeting teachers, donors, and supporters — all delighted to see you arrive with boxes full of stories and imagination. Our HQ-based team will pack and prepare the books for you, and you’ll have their full support throughout the day. On a typical day, you might: -Load the van with the day’s delivery, which may include up to 100 boxes of books. -Deliver the books to recipient schools, meeting teachers and school staff. -Collect donated books from our community hubs and publishing partners. -Help ensure that every delivery runs smoothly and on schedule. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the move, meeting people, and supporting a cause that truly makes a difference. A passion for our mission is key, and in return, you’ll experience the joy of seeing first-hand the impact these books have on children and schools across the community. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
