Making Time for Black Mental Health Kensington is hosting an event on Thursday 1 October 2026, bringing together more than 50 delegates to help tackle health inequalities and improve access to mental health support. The event will feature a panel of therapists and aims to empower underrepresented Black communities to access free counselling and support that can enhance wellbeing and quality of life. As a volunteer, you will take responsibility and take the lead in setting up and managing the event Wellness Market, ensuring self-care activities are ready before delegates arrive. The main focus of this volunteer role will be to organised and proactive creating a friendly welcoming Wellness Market, including to: > Keep the Wellness Market clean, organised and well-stocked throughout the event. > Work as part of the Event Team monitoring supplies and informing the Event Team Leader if additional materials are required. > Help pack away Wellness Market equipment and materials at the end of the event. The Wellness Market on event day; Thursday 1st October 2026 includes: Mindful colouring, Wellness books, Wellness games , Mental health resources leaflets While event volunteers typically contribute around 4-5 hours per event, time commitments are flexible and based on your availability on the event date: Thursday 1st October 2026. We are looking for someone who is: *Friendly, approachable and welcoming. *Organised and confident taking responsibility for an event area. *Comfortable speaking with members of the public. *Reliable and able to work as part of a wider event team. *Proactive and able to identify what needs to be done without constant supervision. *Comfortable setting up tables, displays and activity materials.
