Creative Engagement Volunteer

Description

Resonate Arts is an artist-led charity producing a programme of creative activities and experiences with, and for, people living with dementia in the boroughs of Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea. Creative Engagement volunteers will help in their Creative Space groups, which support people living with dementia, their carers and family members, and are focused on visual arts, and movement & dance. These Creative Spaces are emotionally, culturally and cognitively inclusive dementia friendly spaces where the aim is to create the right conditions for improvisation to evolve. They are rooted in a diverse array of creative and artistic practices; the focus is on enabling a fun and relaxed space for play. As a volunteer, you'll be: - helping set up chairs & tables - welcoming people as they arrive at the group - making tea & coffee - supporting people as part of a group or 1-to-1 in a creative activity - clearing up the space - contributing to the team debriefs Gain valuable experience in working with people living with dementia in a safe and supported environment and work alongside some exciting artists!
