As a Volunteer Driver, you’ll play a key part in making sure surplus food from local stores reaches the foodbank, where it can be sorted and distributed to those who need it most. This flexible role is perfect for someone with access to a car who’s happy to use it to make a real difference. Whether you're available short term or for ongoing support, your contribution will help ensure that food donations are collected promptly and put to good use. As a volunteer, you’ll: - Collect food donations from local stores, usually around 5.00pm when shops close. - Transport items to the foodbank for sorting and distribution. - Be introduced to the stores and supported through the process. - Join a friendly team and contribute to a rewarding, community-focused initiative. The time commitment is minimal—typically around an hour a week—and entirely flexible based on your availability. You’ll need to be a self-starter who’s comfortable managing your own time and happy working independently within a supportive team.
